Hi I’m Katherine!  I am the owner of Driftless Woolens, a collection of my hand knits, which will soon be for sale at my upcoming Etsy shop.

I live in the Driftless Area of the Midwest, on a small work-in-progress homestead.  When I was 8 years old I got a knitting book, yarn, and needles for Christmas.  I taught myself from that book and have hardly gone a month without some sort of fiber in my hands.

In 2017 I got my first fiber animals: an English Angora rabbit, and four Corriedale sheep (who I’m sure you’ll be seeing all the time here on the blog, plus my social media).  I am so excited to finally be producing my own fiber and learning the arts of spinning and natural dyeing.
